A Meaningful Visit to Gelincik Elementary School by Our Elementary Education Students

Fourth-year students from the Elementary Education program at the Faculty of Education, Süleyman Demirel University, visited Gelincik Elementary School in Isparta to reinforce their professional experience in the field and share enjoyable moments with the young students.

During the visit, which took place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, our prospective teachers first observed classes, gaining the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge. Following the observations, the program continued with a packed event festival meticulously prepared by our students. Throughout the day, a variety of both educational and creative activities were organized for the elementary school students, including a puppet show, balloon sculpting, face painting, fun science experiments, bracelet design, traditional children’s games, and a “opposites” bingo game.

At the conclusion of the events, which were filled with the enthusiastic interest and excitement of the young students, the students of Gelincik Elementary School expressed their desire for such enjoyable activities to be held more frequently and thanked our student teachers. The visit concluded with mutual expressions of satisfaction from both the school administration and our student teachers.

Our program will continue to organize similar events aimed at helping our students experience a real classroom environment and enhance their social awareness before entering the profession.
