About Us

The Undergraduate Program in Primary School Teaching, offered within the Faculty of Education at Süleyman Demirel University, was established with the aim of training qualified primary school teachers who will serve at the primary education level. With its strong academic staff and contemporary approach to teacher education, the program aims to equip prospective teachers with professional knowledge, pedagogical competence, and field-specific expertise. The Department has an academic staff comprising 2 professors, 2 associate professors, 1 assistant professor, and 2 research assistants. Students enrolled in the first, second, third, and fourth years of the undergraduate program undergo a comprehensive educational process that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The Undergraduate Program in Primary School Teaching seeks to educate primary school teachers who possess strong subject-matter knowledge, professional competence, commitment to ethical values, sensitivity to social and cultural issues, awareness of students’ individual differences, and the educational skills required by the contemporary era.
