Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Çelikkol, Head of the Department of Primary Education, delivered a seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence Applications for Academics” for academics at Süleyman Demirel University within the scope of trainer training.
During the seminar, practical information was shared on the effective, ethical and efficient use of artificial intelligence technologies in academic work processes. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Çelikkol provided comprehensive explanations on how academics can benefit from artificial intelligence tools in research, publication, teaching, and assessment and evaluation processes.
Within the scope of the program, topics such as AI-supported literature review, semantic search, academic text analysis, peer review process simulation, preparation of article files required for journal submissions, updating course information packages, preparing exam questions, reading and analyzing academic texts, creating lecture notes, and preparing effective presentations were discussed.
The seminar also emphasized the potential of artificial intelligence applications to increase academic productivity, enrich teaching processes, improve the quality of scientific writing, and contribute to digital transformation in higher education. Participants were informed that artificial intelligence tools should be considered not only as technical support tools but also as strategic opportunities that strengthen academic thinking, content development, and instructional design processes.
